The Residence Hall Dining Services is responsible for the management, financial, administration and program development of residence hall dining service facilities within the department of Housing and Dining Services. Each residence hall has their own dining center except for the towers complex, which uses a commons for their dining facility. These nine dining centers serve up to a capacity of 4800 residence hall customers three meals a day seven days a week during the academic school year and frequently as many customers during the summer. Our certified Executive Chef develops appealing menus that are nutritionally balanced and of the highest quality. We have our own bakeshop which supplies many of our pastries and baked goods and a central warehouse which supplies each food operation with a majority of staples, meat, fresh and frozen food products.

Residence Hall Food Services is a nonprofit, self-supporting organization. We do not receive any income from student fees, federal of state funds, or other outside financial aid or subsidies. The overall operating budget for 2002-2003 will exceed $15 million dollars. Over 500 people are employed in the dining services area, with 150 of these being full-time employees.
